Punk

Dorrit as a punk... Loved styling this one. Got really in to the customising too!

Print

I've always believed it's better to look crazy than boring - clashing print is a great way to lift the spirits and show a little personality. This was actually taken during lockdown on a daily walk - it was Saturday and so to mark the occasion(!) I wore two of my favourites: a charity shop leopard print skirt, and a Molly Goddard knitted t-shirt.

Pitching

I love looking through old Interiors magazines - they can be just as inspirational as fashion or art magazines for me. This was an editorial essentially about trimmings - something I seem to be collecting, judging by my styling kit and sewing bag. I love these embellished tents... food for thought.

In stitches

Have been trying out some new embroidery stitches recently, and got inspired by what I was wearing....

Wallpaper

My kind of wallpaper at The Roost, a location I was working at earlier this week
And my kind of Burberry jacket, if only it wasn't the most impractical jacket for me in the world

Mad Woman

Am off to Cornwall for a couple of days where I am looking forward to not caring AT ALL about how strange I'm going to look in this get up:
Now I just have to hope that the weather holds out....
Have a lovely weekend one and all.

Silk Screen Prints

Work from a project I did many moons ago, which resulted in a silk screen print I still really love.

A Printed Afternoon

I managed to prove myself as a sartorial magpie yesterday, spotting this lovely fur coat in the upstairs window of a house in Hammersmith. I am hoping no one saw me lingering outside this house taking pictures...
This apron reminded me that I've recently been wondering if it's time for Camo to take a rest - it's a favourite of West Polar, and I know she's been thinking the same thing... Can't work out if I love or hate this wipe clean version. What do you think?

Tartan Cowhide

Back in London after a few days in Cornwall, and so pleased I do not have to wear jeans and DMs in an attempt to sheild myself from the sideways drizzle we have been having. Sun, stick around please.
Couldn't not share the additions that were made to the Suburu, a car that belonged to my Grandparents before us and is older than me:

Dispatched

We like dispatching orders at One Off, especially because we get to use our stamp.

Jungle Fever

Walking to meet Tessa before Friday's art expedition with Rosa, I spotted her trousers before her beaming face. I then looked down and realised we were both wearing animal print trousers and spotty spotty socks. Jungle fever.
Tessa has a vast selections of socks. Here are her trusty DMs fashioned with a lovely green pair on a much warmer day last summer.

Urban Leopard

I really enjoyed a more unusual display in Shepherd's bush market yesterday - this leopard print cape hung under the tube bridge and next to a fruit and vegetable stall.
Other feline related spots - this hat in a £1 shop. So very odd, I feel sorry for that little cat trapped under the cellophane.
The lights have gone up in the market which is always so exciting. I appreciate the understated decoration, which could not be more different in comparison to where I work:
There is something pretty great about an over-sized reindeer made out of fake grass and covered in fairy lights though, I do admit that.

Old Friend

I have rediscovered this wicker basket-esque bag, bought many years ago in Primark. I quite like the way it kind of looks more like a boater hat than a handbag. The leopard print lining is great too. Like the bag, leopard print has always been a favourite of mine, and I have many leopard items of clothing, some better than others admittedly. I was doubtful I'd wear the velvet leopard print trousers when they were bought in a Zara sale a few years ago, but I have managed to air them a surprising amount of times.

Pebbles

Kate drove us to Brighton last week for a day and night by the seaside. It rained quite a lot, and was cold, but that felt kind of right for a British seaside resort. I liked Rosa's leopard print with the pebbles.
