Punk

Dorrit as a punk... Loved styling this one. Got really in to the customising too!

Piecing Things Together

I've started (and not finished) quite a few projects during Lockdown. One of them has been a patchwork quilt, which I've really enjoyed piecing together bit by bit. My sewing skills are very basic but I love using my machine. The quilt has been worked on in stages - you have to be in the right frame of mind for sewing otherwise it all seems to go wrong very quickly... I'm looking forward to searching for more fabrics once life gets a bit more back to normal.

Plastic flowers

Late night train back to London after a weekend in stormy Cornwall, with some hydrangeas from the garden in tow

Coca cola

Nontsikelelo Veleko (beauty is in the eye of the beholder) Haute Africa
Taken from Nontsikelelo Veleko's 2006 series of portraits depicting South African street style, 'Beauty is in the Eye of the Beholder'.  I love everything about this outfit: the clash of colour, the accessorising. My favourite kind of personal style - fresh and surprising, effortless.
Carrying on the Coca Cola theme... my favourite T-shirt, maybe EVER and inherited (borrowed) from my fave person, my bro

Persian rugs

Persian rugs and a very similarly printed House of Hackney dress on set last week...
Full story to come. Excited for this one!

A Printed Afternoon

I managed to prove myself as a sartorial magpie yesterday, spotting this lovely fur coat in the upstairs window of a house in Hammersmith. I am hoping no one saw me lingering outside this house taking pictures...
This apron reminded me that I've recently been wondering if it's time for Camo to take a rest - it's a favourite of West Polar, and I know she's been thinking the same thing... Can't work out if I love or hate this wipe clean version. What do you think?

Laces

Not sure these laces are entirely successful here with my black 'flatforms' but I love them all the same. Next step: those curly elasticated laces that are for children who can't tie theirs yet.

Hidden Away

Hidden away in a corner of Pound Land were these truly spectacular camouflage laces. Pink/grey colour-way are my favourite.

Tessa spotted this netted/camo masterpiece in the market yesterday

A bit too Christina Aguilera for me though, feel like she might have worn it in some kind of leather chaps ensemble. (Not sure why I keep referencing 1990s pop stars)

Pebbles

Kate drove us to Brighton last week for a day and night by the seaside. It rained quite a lot, and was cold, but that felt kind of right for a British seaside resort. I liked Rosa's leopard print with the pebbles.
