Bank

I went to the Sir John Soane Museum before work last week
Unfortunately I couldn't really see anything because it was a rainy day and the director of the museum doesn't agree with electric lighting...
Which is a shame because judging by these pictures (which I didn't take, whoops) it looks pretty cool. Soane designed the Bank of England:
Which is what prompted me to visit the museum, after passing the Bank of England many times on the bus
I will have to go back to Lincoln's Inn Fields on a brighter day, and when my mood isn't so darkened by the prospect of work.

PomPoms

TG
This weekend I borrowed a cardigan that I had embellished with pom-poms (as modelled by Tessa here) for my Mum's birthday present a few years ago.. It needs some repairs carried out, but I was feeling quite smug wearing it none the less.

Boris

James and his flatmates have rescued a stray kitten. Its called Boris, and despite really not bring a cat person, even I find him incredibly sweet. He is looking pretty suave here matching Tessa's dress.

TDubbs in Three

I thought I'd make a habit of asking friends to send me their three favourite items of clothes/things of 'the moment.' Other people's style choices are always the most interesting and good for inspiration... Here are Hannah's favourite clothes etc items of September:
Coat - Brixton Market, £25
Bag - Barnardos, £5
Horse Badge - Buenos Aires

Tessa's Dress

I took some pictures quickly before I went to work yesterday (wet hair, messy room - not the best photos, sorry) because I borrowed a dress of Tessa's that I have always admired from afar... It is a beautiful vintage dress with a kind of mini cape that can be tied or let loose, to flutter while you walk. It is quite tricky to wear, and I wore it with a belt to give it some shape on me. It would probably look best without one. I love the print the most - feel quite sorceress in it.

Hat

Also at Daisy's flat (maybe I am a bit obsessed) was this hat. Its a 'narrow brimmed fedora' according to Tessa. My Dad wears a similar kind of hat in the winter, and looks very dashing.

Adrian Ghenie

I went to see Adrian Ghenie's show at the Haunch of Venison today. Beforehand, I had looked online and almost decided against going as it looked rather grim - but a friend who I met for coffee this morning had been, and persuaded me to go. I'll be honest, walking down Haunch of Venison yard always makes me nervous. There is normally a group of exceptionally well dressed workers or art students exiting the gallery, and I immediately felt self conscious about the coffee stain on my white t-shirt that I had just acquired. Once I got over that, and got past the first room of paintings, I really enjoyed the exhibition. It was refreshing to see paintings after seeing a lot of sculpture recently. It is a bit dark, but I guess that makes sense, as the photocopy accompaniment to the exhibition quotes Ghenie, saying 'I am interested in evil'.
