Took him 12 years to get all that opulence right - he did the frame too

Stacked

An early morning call time and so a very rushed squish of rings on my hands last week - so random but very enjoyable all the same

Pinning

Every now and then I have a frenzied time pinning just about anything that I've collected over the past few weeks to the pin board in my room.  I've never been one for minimalism - despite all my best efforts.
This is my latest - a celebration of summer and thoughts of travel.

Mid Night

Brilliant still life shoot in Love magazine this month, shot by David Hughes.

Captures a certain time of the night pretty aptly - my real life version has far less expensive accessories unfortunately.

A long time coming

It's been a long time coming. Almost 10 years since the boy with the Del Boy ring (see here).
A birthday and Christmas windfall allowed me to run in to a favourite Shepherd's Bush pawn shop and finally realise a teenage dream.

Jamie's rings

Silver thorns, onyx and a glass eye. A good selection in my book.

Spanner in the works

Pawn shops do make me sad, but then I think how happy I'd be if I had this bolt and spanner bangle

An understated plastic keepsake from St Marks, Venice. Beats a postcard

Plasticine

I love looking through old magazines and keep them for years. I find that when they are brand new there's almost too much to take in, and I always skip stuff and later discover missed gems. One point in case is a still life shoot from Vogue last year which saw jewellery on, in, hanging and spilling from household objects made from plasticine by French artist and illustrator Alexandra Bruel.

See more of Alexandra's amazing work here.
