Road Trip

Last week: a solo road trip to the South West, visiting various family members across Devon and Cornwall. I loved listening to a Driving playlist carefully curated recently while commuting to work - and also an audio version of Girl, Woman, Other by Bernadine Evaristo. I still have quite a lot to listen to - will need to plan my next road trip ASAP.
Mum in Penzance - we swum shortly after this! The only flaw to that plan was timing - low tide meant icy legs before being submerged, but it was worth it.

Devon

I can't seem to get enough of the west country, as I have just spent a few days in Devon.
There was a floating staircase on the beach:
and beautiful views in poetically names places, like this at Hope Cove
and I pretended to be on my own photo shoot for a bit
but truth be told, my place is definitely not in front of the camera
I also watched Music and Lyrics (second time round - embarrassing), when I realised it was probably time to return to the big smoke and be sociable as I was finding Hugh Grant way too funny...
Definitely a bad sign.

Menagerie

Just spent three days in Devon, hanging out with these guys, Charlie's extensive array of pets. Julius and his 3 turtle companions, were probably my favourite... tough call when there's a talking parrot called Mr.Poppet and the biggest great dane ever called Otis as well.

I LOVE YOU (DULVERTON)

I went to Devon for the weekend recently to stay with my friend Charlie. We took her dog for a walk one day and somehow ended up spending a long time in 'Lousie's', a tiny shop ran by an old couple in the front room of their house. They sold loads of crochet, amazing second hand rings (mostly garnets) and kitchen utensils (presumably their offcasts) in a basket for 5p. I found this spinner thing, its got broken lines on both sides and when you spin it, it spells I LOVE YOU, and Lousie's, I really do.
