Autumn on its way...

Just home from a week in Majorca, seeing out the last of the heat that summer has to offer... Stepping off the plane at Gatwick is always a bit of a shock! Especially when you're still wearing your sunblock smeared (and small) beach clothes from a last minute dash to the beach before take off.
But things could be worse, especially when your flatmate's a florist and creates beautiful autumnal bunches like this.

Muddy Boots

Festival season is over, and my favourite boots of Hannah's live on to tell the tale... There's a great shoot in there somewhere

Autumn Updates

The purse strings are tightly drawn this coming season so my wardrobe updates are limited. I couldn't resist this shirt in my favourite print and this lovely lightweight jumper though.

Lemons

As summer begins to draw an end and I start to make staunch resolutions about baring legs for as long as possible, my thoughts turn to clothes I wish I had got more wear out of. I picked up this beautiful little 1960s dress for 3 euro from a market in Spain earlier this Summer
Quite difficult to wear as it is essentially see through but it makes a great pool/beach dress. I love fruit prints, I've written about a Stella McCartney favourite years ago here and here.

Daisy Boyd

One Off's latest feature has a look inside the flat of Daisy Boyd, who has been written  about countless times on this blog. Last year Daisy did a 7 days of style for us, see here for more.

This time we learn a little more about Daisy's style and have a look around her flat, where I love to hang out whenever Daisy is in London.

Friday Fuzz

I am ready for the weekend as today I found myself spending a lot of time staring at things. Maybe with good reason though, as I had two exciting arrivals from the postman:
A new rubber stamp. When I was little I had a bit of an obsession with stamps. I especially liked the ones that librarians had where you could change the date everyday. I don't really need one of those, but I'm tempted.
The second was the arrival of a book I ordered after a dizzingly great encounter with Bay Garnett, her book 'The Cheap Date Guide to Style'. Full post to follow. It's great.
I spent quite a lot of time looking at my rather untidy shelf stuffed full of jumpers. Is it really time for chunky knitwear? Bare legs and big jumpers might be on the agenda, as I generally dare myself not to wear tights til October
Lastly, my pin board must be feeling a bit worse for wear after I came across lots of postcards while tidying up this week. I love these lemons and oranges. Unfortunately it's a Russian postcard so I can't tell you anything about it.
Have a great weekend!

Lace Ups

I love this trainers currently moonlighting on One Off's Outfit Booster page. Worn with bare legs while the autumn permits and with a pair of jeans when it get's colder, these trainers are a definite great buy.
