Treasure hunt

As a stylist I'm always sourcing clothing - whether it's for me or a shoot often gets a bit tricky if I find any real treasure. This was such brilliant shop in Liverpool, lovingly curated and looked after by an elderly gentleman who was listening to Bjork while I sheltered from the rain and perused his rails.

Painter's Studio

A taster of some work I did recently for The Ones 2 Watch
We shot in a working artist's studio, who was obviously something of a Rothko fan... I've been wanting to shoot in a painter's studio for a while - my art history days kept coming back to haunt me with lots of images of painters at work. Lucian Freud and Frances Bacon always looking like the cooelest of the lot, and the most sinister in those darkly lit black and white photographs.

Test Shoot Fabric #2

I've just got some photos back from a test shoot I did a couple of weeks ago. The vibe was flowing fabric - particularly as we were simultaneously creating a video (watch this space) - and texture. Lots of fun sourcing fabric from the market.

I'm really pleased with how they've turned out. I particularly like the first picture, as the maroon netting that I got for the shot was a great balance of light but structured and created some really beautiful shadow.
