Market Day

A morning sourcing fabric in Shepherd's Bush Market, to replace some cushion covers that are looking a bit weary. Didn't go for these beautiful brocades - but the shimmering florals clearly made their mark, as I bought this vintage dress (£4!) from Roman Road Market on my way home.

Fabric Samples For Quilts

An afternoon spent sorting out fabric samples, after collecting several bags full from a friend who was throwing them out of her studio recently. So excited to get sewing my next quilt!

Chiffon

I set myself the challenge of making something from practically nothing last week. I found this beautiful piece of fabric in a second hand shop in Notting Hill for £2, which was once a fully functioning top (I think). I hope I just about managed to fashion it into something wearable without having to get a needle and thread out, although there is something Egyptian Mummy about the tied chiffon/muslin vibe.
