Road Trip

Last week: a solo road trip to the South West, visiting various family members across Devon and Cornwall. I loved listening to a Driving playlist carefully curated recently while commuting to work - and also an audio version of Girl, Woman, Other by Bernadine Evaristo. I still have quite a lot to listen to - will need to plan my next road trip ASAP.

Mum in Penzance - we swum shortly after this! The only flaw to that plan was timing - low tide meant icy legs before being submerged, but it was worth it.

An hour's drive East from the flat - a much needed cool down in the river near Chelmsford. The kind of day you wouldn't believe actually happened when living through midwinter!

Latvian Road Trip

A couple of weekends my friend and I set off to Latvia for a couple of days.

We rented a car and drove through miles and miles of Latvian forest, stopping at a sparkling lake for lunch we'd bought in the market

Tessa went to the US of A and all I got was THIS AMAZING BEADED STATUE OF LIBERTY BOX!!

Apparently when she bought it her company at the time were full of disbelief that anyone would actually want such a thing. That person is ME and once the toffees inside have been demolished I am looking forward to finding a use for this piece of art.
